The CrossPurpose plumbing training program begins with three weeks of personal mindset and professional development training classes that cover a wide range of topics:

What you will learn

After completing this portion of the program, you’ll embark on your plumbing program skills training, in which you’ll gain six weeks of hands-on training with the Master’s Apprentice. You’ll receive on-the-job training through field trips and site visits while learning from experienced trades instructors.

Upon completion of your six-week training program, you’ll be prepared to:

  • Begin work as a plumbing pre-apprentice
  • Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems
  • Have a working knowledge of Colorado plumbing codes
  • Read blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
  • And more!

What You Can Do with Certification

After finishing your CrossPurpose plumbing training program, you will be ready for work as a plumbing pre-apprentice. By staying in the field, you will earn apprenticeship hours towards certification as a residential plumber, journeyman plumber (with journeyman plumber examination), and eventually master plumber.

Course Details

Class Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday, 9am – 1pm for first 6 weeks of personal development
  • Wednesday evenings from 6pm – 8pm for duration of the program for class participation with other students.

You will attend hands on training for six weeks at the Master’s Apprentice workshop.

After completing your plumbing skill training, you will continue on the job training in the apprenticeship program on your way to becoming a Colorado plumber.

  • Meet all CrossPurpose admissions requirements
  • Complete a background check
  • 6th grade Math/Reading level
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Manual dexterity
  • Physical stamina
  • Some felonies and drug charges can be an issue
  • No domestic violence, assault, or child abuse charges on your record
  • Must be interested in working full-time in the plumbing field
