Become an Ally

In simple terms, a volunteer Ally walks alongside our community and career development program participants (Leaders) to encourage and build friendships with them. We come together on Wednesday nights for “Family Gathering” from 6:00-8:00 pm to share a meal with 2-3 other Allies and 10-15 Leaders, play a game or two, and check in on how things are progressing in the life and career path of our Leaders. Allies help provide Leaders with social capital and community outside of their normal circles. As we say, “significant change can only happen through significant relationships.”

Finance Coach (Champion)

Are you well-versed in the basics of wealth building through budgeting, credit, savings, basic financial planning, and financial tools like home ownership? Assist graduates in our Legacy Fellowship Program through basic financial principles like budgeting, saving, credit, and money management as a volunteer finance coach, which we call Champion.

Business Coach

If you have founded businesses, operated with start-ups, have experience in VC or PE, and understand the nuances of scaling at the entrepreneurial level, you would be a great business coach! Volunteer business coaches walk with CrossPurpose graduates (known as “Change Agents”) who have the desire and tenacity to start their own businesses. Through a rigorous 9-month course, we provide tools, training, access to experts, and dedicated coaching to help graduates refine ideas, develop viable business plans, and then execute the business. Ultimately, our entrepreneurs reinvest back into the community by creating jobs, personal and professional growth, and ultimately success.
