The CrossPurpose CNA training course begins with 3 weeks of personal mindset and professional development training classes that cover a wide range of topics:

Denver CNA course

Upon Completion

After completing this portion of the program, you’ll embark on your CNA program skills training, in which you’ll gain hands-on training with the South Denver School of Nursing Arts, including two 8-hour clinical training dates to practice and improve your CNA skills.

Upon completion of your 5-week CNA training, you’ll be prepared to:

  • Take the state CNA exam
  • Provide patient care in areas such as:
    • Feeding
    • Bathing
    • Updating vital information and taking vital signs
    • Monitoring blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates
  • Work under the direction of a nurse or doctor
  • Have the CNA skills to pursue a career in various work setting:
    • Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, hospice care, long term care facilities, etc.
  • Obtain your CNA license and launch your career in healthcare services

What You Can Do with Certification

Our Course Curriculum:

  • First 3 Weeks: Personal Mindset and Professional Development Training
  • Next 5 Weeks: Hands-on experience and training through the South Denver School of Nursing Arts state-approved program
  • Rest of Program: Complete your CNA certification and find employment in the medical field

Course Requirements:

  • Meet all CrossPurpose admissions requirements
  • Complete a background check
  • 6th grade Math/Reading level
  • Typing 40+ WPM
  • Some felonies and drug charges can be an issue
    • No domestic violence, assault, or child abuse charges on your record
  • Shot records and TB test
  • Must be interested in working full-time in the medical field

Course Details:

Class Schedule: First 3 Weeks

  • The schedule for the first 3 weeks of class is Monday-Thursday, 9am – 1pm and Wednesday evenings from 6pm – 8pm.

Upon starting your CNA skill track:

  • CNA Fast Track training can be completed in 8 days of class with 4-6 lecture hours per day Monday-Friday, plus two 8 hour clinical days
  • CNA Regular Track training can be completed in 15 days of class with 2-3 lecture hours per day, Monday-Friday, plus two 8 hour clinical days

After completing your CNA certification and are able to land your job in the medical field, you’ll be working full-time hours
